The alignment of the skeleton system is important for efficient running, only then the engagement of essential muscles will be enabled. During one of these workouts, I recognized in the runner’s bio-mechanics, a metaphor for the structure of Machine Projects.

SAFETY STRATEGIES

3.6 Safety Strategies

Before strategies within Safety could be optimized (aligned), answers ought to be delivered, on four questions.
  • “What is the background of workforces?” i.e.: gender, age, country, language, education, tacit knowledge of machinery.
  • “What is known of the personal character of workforce's?” i.e.: worked at what firms, worked at what jobs, working in teams, shifts, drive.
  • “Is the network planning based on scheduling tasks and resources?” i.e.: total cost, calculated by the network planning, have to produce a good cross-check for the available budget.
  • “Are the important issues during the overhaul visible in the network planning?” i.e.: handover –  mechanical complete – ready for startup – commissioning – confined spaces – scaffolding – task risk analyses.

Strategies ought to be concentrated on the availability of:
  1. Have stable skilled workers, available for working long hours.
  2. Have skilled workers, with tacit knowledge of the equipment in situ.
  3. Have detailed work instructions, derived from the network planning. #
  4. Have all issues influencing safety in the network planning. #
  5. Have detailed work instructions to be explained by the supervisor to the working team, prior to execution of specified tasks. #
